What you should do is try reversing the red and yellow wires to reverse the functions so the steps aren't out. Additionally, the Kwikee 32 Series Electric RV Steps # LC3722615 does not actually come with the switch kit, however; for that you need the Rocker Switch with Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps - 250V # LC369311.
